My name is Tomas Vaitkunas, I was born in small town in Lithuania – Ukmerge, but now I live and work in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. Our tattoo studio is called “Eddy Tattoo Art Studio”. Of course, I’m not alone there; together with me work two really talented masters: Eddy and Tolik.
I realized that I had a talent for art when I was young; because I really had a passion for painting my parents decided that I should attend an art school in my home town. First time, when I thought about being a tattoo artist was when I saw a silly tattoo (anchor) on my friend’s hand, which he made by himself at home. And I thought that I could do the same or maybe even better!
Actually, at that time I had no teachers, who would help me at the beginning, so I was teaching by myself, making tattoos and mistakes, of course. Only when I moved to Vilnius and started to study graphic design in high school, I had a possibility to start working in tattoo studio and train under the guidance of tattoo artist Eddy.
Finding my own way, I realized that my strong point is black and gray. I enjoy tattooing and painting realistic things or faces with special attention to details, shadows and depth and dimensional effects.
This is what my Killer Silver™ Ink set up looks like:
I use different set ups for smaller (1-2 hours) sessions and a different one for large (5-6 hours) sessions.
All my ink cups are lined up strait as follows from left to right for the smaller ones.
First ink cup (small white): KS (Killer Silver) 100% Black; 2nd ink cup (small white): 8 drops of KS 100% black and mixing solution; 3rd ink cup (small white): 1 drop of KS 100% black and mixing solution; 4th ink cup (small white): water or mixing solution.
For big 5-6 hours sessions:
First ink cup (small white): KS (Killer Silver) 100% Black; 2nd ink cup (small white): 8 drops of KS 100% black and mixing solution; 3rd ink cup (big yellow): 6 drops of KS 100% black and mixing solution; 4th ink cup (big yellow): 1 drop of KS 100% black and mixing solution.
